The Delta Regional Authority is involved in numerous efforts to improve the lives of the people it serves.

Information technology and transportation are strategic areas of emphasis as the Authority works to improve the Delta region's economy. From asphalt highways to the information superhighway, the Delta Regional Authority is working to realize a comprehensive economic development plan for the region.

A regional Delta Leadership Institute is being conducted in coordination with the University of Alabama.

Meanwhile, the DRA's Delta Doctors program is bringing physicians to the Delta region to increase access to quality health care.
