Oakdale, LA, celebrates forthcoming sewer system expansion

The City of Oakdale celebrated the receipt of the official notice to proceed with a DRA investment into an expansion of the city’s wastewater treatment facilities to reach local business Natural Advantage and the surrounding area at a ribbon cutting with DRA Chairman Chris Masingill and Mayor Gene Paul.

The DRA’s $185,800 investment leverages $540,000 in public and private funds for the City of Oakdale that will allow wastewater from Natural Advantage to be redirected from its unreliable on-site treatment plant to the City of Oakdale’s treatment facility through the construction of a lift station and force main. This project is expected to help Natural Advantage create an additional 7 jobs and retain 86 jobs.
