Delta Regional Authority Requesting Qualifications for Federal Audit Services

The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) is seeking qualifications from independent auditing firms to provide comprehensive audit services to the agency. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) has been issued, detailing the terms of the contracted service.

DRA is in search of a contract auditor to perform the following tasks:

  • Conduct an audit to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements are free from material misstatement.
  • Assess risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud or error, and designing and performing audit procedures responsive to those risks.
  • Obtain an understanding of internal control relevant to the audit.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of significant accounting estimates made by management.

The audit will be conducted in accordance with U.S. generally accepted government auditing standards, the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Bulletin No. 21-04, Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements.
